University Profile

The University of Plymouth is one of the U.K.'s most prominent and dynamic universities, with an educational history dating back to 1862. At present, there are over 30,000 students enrolled in various courses with the University. With an annual income of around £110 million, there are almost 3,000 faculty members working in the university.

Plymouth campus is the main campus of the university of Plymouth. This is the home to the Faculties of Health & Social Work, Social Science & Business, Science and Technology, and part of the Faculty of Arts and the Peninsula Medical School.

The Plymouth Peninsula Allied Health Centre was opened in 2005. It is a purpose-built multi-million-pound investment that is used by the Faculty of Health and Social Work to deliver Dietetic, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, and Podiatry courses. This is located four miles north of the main campus and close to Derriford Hospital. The centre has state-of-the-art clinical skills labs, computing facilities, lecture theatre, and seminar space.

The various facuilties of the University of Plymouth include Faculty of Arts, Health & Social Work, Science, Social Science & Business, Technology, and Peninsula Medical School. The University of Plymouth has been consistently ranked as one of the top three modern universities in the United Kingdom.
