The University of Northumbria offers a wide range of course programmes for its students from part-time 'Taster' courses to full-time master’s degrees and everything in between. The university offers almost 500 courses on either a full-time, part-time or distance-learning basis. At present, there are over 28,000 students registered in various courses with the university.
The University of Northumbria is made up of various schools, including Newcastle Business School, School of Applied Sciences, School of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Built Environment, School of Computing, Engineering, & Information Sciences, School of Design, School of Health, Community & Education Studies, School of Law, School of Psychology & Sport Sciences, and Virtual Graduate School.
The University of Northumbria also has an e-learning initiative team, formerly known as online services. This is a service department that focuses on providing e-learning expertise to the university and beyond. In addition, the university also undertakes consultancy in this field for a number of other HE and FE institutions as being tasked with performing e-learning technology evaluations on behalf of the university.
The Accommodation Services Department consists of a number of activities that provide important support for the University. These include accommodation, catering, conferences, customer care, and facilities management.
