University of Huddersfield comprises of seven schools of study as well as two centres. It offers numerous programs in a variety of fields of study to suit the needs of students who have just completed their high school and degree holders who are seeking higher qualifications. There are programs that will train students to join the work force after graduation as well as programs to help mature students complete their educational goals. Foundation degrees, bachelor's, master's, post graduate certificates and diplomas as well as research degrees such as MPhil, EdD and PhD programs are available at the University to suit the varying needs of the students. Specialist and professional programs are also available. The institution also offers pre-seasonal programs in the summer to help students prepare for their degrees. Several programs are available for the international students too.
Architecture, Art & Design, Multimedia, IT, Education, Teachers training, Engineering, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology etc. are among the programs that are available. All programs that were assessed by the Quality Assurance Agency received the highest teaching quality rating.
University of Huddersfield offers placement services to all its successful graduates as it has developed close links with those in the industry and commerce. The library is commendable with more than 400,000 books and journals and students can access its electronic database from anywhere using the internet.
The students have access to financial aid packages such as access to learning funds, loans, grants, bursaries as well as scholarships. Child care grants, parents learning allowances, adult dependent grants, disability allowances etc. are available.
