The Authorities formed the City University of London in the year 1894, but it got the position of a complete university only in 1966. When founded, it was popular by the name of Northampton Institute. They set up this college for imparting education to the natives of London. Its main motive at that time was to promote industrial skills, education and health among the minorities.
This university is in London, near the City of London. The City University is imparting education in three main streams, business, arts and sciences. It has a top-notch business school, a medical division to train in the fields of nursing, visual science and food policy and an arts division to teach subjects like IT, engineering, law, mathematics and social sciences.
In City University of London, students can obtain post Graduate degrees, postgraduate Diplomas or certificates, Ph.D degrees and M.Phil degrees for all the courses. A large number of students from all over the globe come to this University to study the course of their choice.

With time, City University has introduced 45 new courses in the field of business and profession.
